This year's rise in mortgage rates has resulted in a slowdown in sales. In the four weeks ending Aug. 21, new listings fell 15% from the same period a year ago.

Many people are now considered "credit invisible," meaning they have a thin or non-existent credit file. Borrowers' chances of being denied a mortgage will only increase if this continues — indeed a difficult time for our mortgage professionals to handle the present industry situation.
